Quectel BG95 module merupakan modul LPWA multi- mode yang mendukung jaringan LTE Cat M1 atau Cat NB2 atau EGPRS maupun jaringan GNSS yang terintegrasi. Modul ini menggunakan teknologi 3GPP Rel- 14.

Quectel BG95 Module menawarkan kecepatan transmisi data maksimum downlink 588 kbps dan uplink hingga 1119 kbps pada mode LTE Cat M1. Sesuai dengan fungsinya, module ini berperan dalam proses transmisi data internet.

Module BG95 mempunyai beberapa series mulai dari BG95 tipe M1, hingga BG95 tipe M9. Setiap tipe mempunyai keunggulan dan karakteristik masing- masing. Sehingga setiap tipe dapat digunakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.

Sehingga, module ini memiliki karkateristik yaitu konsumsi daya baterai yang lebih rendah dibanding dengan pendahulunya.

Unggulnya, Quectel BG95 Modul dapat mencapai pengurangan kebocoran PSM hingga 70% dan pengurangan konsumsi arus eDRX sebesar 85% jika kita membandingkannya dengan series sebelumnya.

Tidak hanya tentang konsumsi daya, series BG95 mempunyai rangkaian fitur keamanan berbebasis perangkat keras yang komprehensif dan memungkinkan aplikasi terpercaya berjalan secara langsung pada mesin Cortex A7 TrustZone.

Modul Quectel BG95 juga kompatible dengan modul series BG lainnya secara pin to pin. Modul yang kompatible dengan BG95 yaitu modul Quectel LTE Cat 4 EG91/ EG95, modul LTE Cat M1/ Cat NB1/ EGPRS BG96, modul NB-IoT BC95-G, modul UMTS/ HSPA UG95/ UG96 dan GSM/ GPRS modul M95.

Dengan bentuk SMT berukuran 23,6 mm x 19,9 mm x 2,2 mm serta integrasi yang tinggi. Memungkinkan modul ini bisa efektif pada pengembangan aplikasi dengan konsumsi daya yang rendah. Modul ini pun lebih hemat biaya.
